Within the calendar year there are lots of seasons, most recently, the fall season, and, just upon us – the holiday season. But there is one season that never is posted on any calendar but one very prominent in all photographer’s minds – the busy season! Even as a newborn photographer, there are ebbs and flows with the number of births and there has certainly been a baby boom these past few months. As we approach the end of fall, the number of pumpkin and rust toned setups fade and we embrace some of the sweet and simple decorative accents of Christmas and winter.
Fall newborn sessions are some of my favorites of the year as I am drawn to the tones of autumn and the warm, coziness of my studio. You will often see newborns surrounded by pumpkins or tucked into tiny beds.
Soon we transition to Christmas and the holiday season where newborns and babies are one of the best presents life has to offer. I love photographing families as they are just getting acquainted with their greatest treasure. And, sometimes we even capture a smile or two.
And newborns and sitters make the cutest little Santa!
